Job Description

Job ResponsibilitiesSales and Business Development

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to acquire new clients and achieve revenue targets.
  • Identify and prospect potential clients through various channels, including networking events, referrals, and market research.
  • Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the firms offerings.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, and establish and maintain strategic partnerships to drive business growth with a focus on wealth managers and IFAs in the UK
Client Relations
  • Build and maintain strong trust-based relationships with existing clients, understanding their investment goals, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Work closely with internal and external teams, including portfolio management, operations, and fund administrators to ensure seamless client experiences.
Marketing
  • Develop and execute innovative marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and market positioning.
  • Oversee the creation of compelling campaigns and content.
  • Utilise market research and analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning.
  • Ensure consistent and cohesive messaging across all marketing channels in line with product positioning and brand identity.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making.
Management & Reporting
  • Lead the Sales and Client Relations team providing mentorship, coaching, and guidance to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture.
  • Maintain regular reporting to clients (factsheets, quarterly letters), funds databases and platforms.
  • Utilise data and analytics to assess the effectiveness of sales strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, client retention, and market trends for senior leadership.
  • Develop and manage the sales and marketing budget effectively.
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Job RequirementsSkills & Experience
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in sales and business development within asset management
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Have a network of relationships with wealth managers and IFA firms in the UK.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and client needs.
  • In-depth knowledge of investment products including UCITS funds
  • Experience with fund platforms
  • Experience with institutional DDQs
  • Effective planning, organisation and time-management skills
  • Strong IT skills and experience with CRM systems.
  • Willingness to travel extensively inside the UK and internationally.
