Job Description

Head of TechnologyOur client is a Tech Co within the Digital Marketing space and are currently looking for a Head of Technology who wants to join their vibrant team and help them build amazing new tech. You will possess enough skills to jump straight into the role and help them with building the next versions of their client-facing scripts. You will also be leading a team to build new tools and web apps on their Admin interface and report back to senior management.Your Core Skills:

  • Exceptional understanding of JavaScript
  • Excellent knowledge of HTML
  • Superb Knowledge of CSS
  • Excellent understanding of React
  • Excellent understanding of different browsers compatibilities including mobile devices events
  • Able to lead a small team of front end developers
    • At least some knowledge in the majority of these: Latest ECMA script syntaxes, babel and webpack, Typescript, Graph QL, test-driven development, JS performance tuning, NodeJS, SASS, CSS animations, UI/UX design skills, Photoshop, Flex and Grid. Understanding how the AWS JS SDK works. jQuery for our legacy code, velocityJS, REST API, CORS, Redux, Browser Caching and invalidation techniquesAbout you:
  • Fun and friendly personality
  • Ability to manage a team (5) and performance
  • Knowledge of Jira and ability to take over scrum master essential
  • Good communicator and team player
  • 5+ years of experience
    • This is a hands on role, so the ideal candidate they are looking for is someone who has enough experience to be able to jump straight into a development role with minimal training involved (they will, of course, be teaching you how their systems work) - you will also have good people skills and enjoy working with a fun team.
