As our Head Of Sales,you will lead and develop a sales team to maximize business opportunity and drive new business deals and income through a diverse and remote team. The role has accountability for a local target feeding into a regionalone.Your responsibilities as our Head Of Sales will include:
  • Resourcing, selection, succession planning and retention are prioritised appropriately to retain skills and knowledge within the team
  • Reducing unwanted staff attrition and managing sales performance quickly and appropriately to maintain both a deal driven culture and stability with effective working practices
  • Promoting and supporting the continuous training and development for all individuals within the reporting line ensuring consistency across BFS through liaising with HR and L&D
  • Driving, maintaining and upholding the highest standards of client service through consistent leadership and demonstrable action along with coaching and embedding strategic initiatives where appropriate
  • Maintaining a visible and accessible presence to colleagues
  • Setting appropriate work standards and objectives and taking corrective action where necessary supporting colleagues to achieve individual and common objectives
  • Building and maintaining new and existing relationships with introductory sources for example financial brokers, insolvency practitioners, accountants, banks, clients etc.
  • Effectively manage the new client process through conducting sales meetings with prospective clients; completing risk templates for sanction of the facility; chasing outstanding enquiries and paperwork on deals
  • Continuously developing knowledge and understanding of the BFS products and services including the specialist products portfolio, FX and Leasing. Disseminating this knowledge through a continued learning culture within the team
  • Proactively liaising with internal departments such as Marketing, Take-on, Risk and Operations to ensure the smooth transition of new deals from origination through underwrite, pay out to BAU
  • Any other duties or projects commensurate with the level of responsibility of this role, for which the role holder has the necessary experience and/or training
What we are looking for in our ideal Head Of Sales:
  • Experience – proven experience of working in the Invoice Finance industry, specifically within a sales role
  • Skills – Numeracy and literacy;IT- Microsoft Office, in particular Excel; planning and organising; Customer service skills and ability to work alone whilst being a team player
  • Leadership - Leading an sales or operational function where high volume and high accuracy activity is expected
  • Full driving license
