Head of Pharmacovigilance & Medical Safety for a London based biopharma. I am partnered with an exciting and innovative biopharma in the search for a Head of Pharmacovigilance & Medical Safety to head up the safety function and ensure the ongoing surveillance of compounds in early stage development. Your new companyA small but growing biopharma with a history of developing major compounds. Currently in regrowth phase, you will have an opportunity to head the safety function at an exciting time when compounds are moving out of pre-clinical and into first in man trials as well as some phase 1 and 2 studies currently ongoing. The business have hired well in the past and have a strong team in place as well as a fantastic culture around the way of working. Your new roleAs the Head of Pharmacovigilance and Medical Safety you will be the go to person in the business for all pharmacovigilance and safety related issues. You will be responsible for all pharmacovigilance / safety aspects of ongoing clinical studies including, ongoing surveillance, risk management, regulatory submissions and benefit risk assessments, as well as being responsible to the organisation for the PV system and maintaining medical governance. You will report into the Managing Director of the UK business and have responsibility over the EU function as well as acting in an advisory function to the global function on related safety issues. What youll need to succeedYou will need to show a solid track record of success in clinical safety studies from early phase through to phase 3.
