Head of PRMarketing - PiccadillyContract: PermanentSalary: Competitive and BenefitsOur Head Office department is located in the heart of Piccadilly and occupies the 5th & 6th floor of our beautiful flagship store. This central London location, offers so much to explore including restaurants, bars, cultural sites, shopping and more, and onlya short walk from the Green Park Tube Station and plenty of bus stops.Role Purpose:To lead the strategic planning, implementation and ongoing measurement of Fortnum & Masons Public Relations strategy across all areas of the business, maximising earnt media coverage and managing brand reputation* To plan, develop, implement and measure PR activities and campaigns against pre-agreed targets to support the wider marketing strategy.* Working collaboratively with the buying and merchandising teams to identify and promote our core and new product categories and stories, in our key markets globally.* As a key member of the marketing team, you will work seamlessly with, the online and concierge teams to understand their ambitions and goals, and ensure we have the product, category and brand stories to fulfil them on an ongoing basis.* Ensuring that Fortnums plays a significant role in and has relevance for all seasons, and is at the forefront of the hospitality industry, and to reflect the business aims and goals positively in the media at a corporate level.* You will be an exceptional communicator who is aware of the global media landscape and what drive the news agenda, including key areas of corporate responsibility.Key Accountabilities:* Work closely with the buying and merchandising teams to develop a strong knowledge and understanding of key product categories from confectionary to tea, wines and spirits to homeware and hampers, you will become a powerful central source of knowledge aroundour products and services.To be instrumental in developing and delivering highly creative, innovative PR campaigns in line with the brand and business objectives:* Ensure that our NPD and "newness" stream is being positively received and drive newsworthy content for campaigns* Push to increase Fortnums food and drink credentials both within the industry, leveraging your network of contacts, and out to the wider public.* Build out and execute a strategy to make Fortnums a leading voice in conversations around key product categories like fresh food, tea & coffee, wines and spirits, confectionary, hampers and gifts.* Build out and execute the strategy to ensure Fortnums hospitality businesses are always in the conversation around the very best places to eat and drink.* Promote public perception of Fortnums as an all-year brand with key seasonal events, partnering with Design, Buying Merchandising and all relevant channels to ensure that both key product messages and marketing campaigns are extended through earned media.* Develop a unique tone of voice for our international operations and play a pivotal role in the comunications PR strategy to increase our international presence.* Ensure that Fortnums is a reliable and compelling source of industry points of view, creating a group of key management spokespeople within the business who are briefed and available for commen, speaking opportunities and industry events. Ensure that Fortnumscorporate agenda, including company results, is well received by the trade press.* Work closely with the sustainability and Future Matters teams to help build out our plans and messaging around our sustainability agenda ensuring we are an industry leading voice on the subject.* Work closely with the HR and Internal communications and engagement teams to ensure the very best Fortnums stories are understood, celebrated and promoted, with a goal to making Fortnums the very best place to work.Responsibilities:* Manage the process of development and implementation for integrated PR strategies.* Manage external PR Agencies.* Continually research and identify opportunities to build exposure and awareness for the brand to cut through within the changing media landscape.* Increase our profile by identifying opportunities across diverse media outlets, speaking opportunities industry events.* Develop comprehensive media toolkits, Q&As, talking points, current business facts and figures,* Build relationships with key media contacts for coverage and ongoing opportunities whilst seeking new ways to raise the profile of the brand* Within this, run a process that draws knowledge into the marketing department from across the business and ensures the very best category and product marketing stories Fortnums have are available to build creative campaigns around that inspire customers.* Have an in-depth point of view on competitive market information and insight around competitive behaviours.* Ensure ROI on all campaigns are reviewed and lessons learnt for the future.* Ensure our PR strategy is tied into the wider business insight, campaign development materials, reporting and trade driving tactics.* Ensure the PR function is run in a way that helps it serve its ultimate purpose as a strategic & commercial business function providing high quality service to the business.* Support and live the Company Employee Values of "Taking Pride", Doing The Right Thing" and "Achieve Together"* Working closely with HR and people departments to provide inspirational internal messaging around campaigns including sustainability, diversity and inclusion.Essential:* A dynamic, flexible, multi-channel communications professional.* Proven commercial experience with working within a fast paced environment, and able to efficientlhy manage budgets.* Broad all-round PR experience, with a strong strategic and food & drink focus.* Strong management experience withing a multi-functional marketing or communications team.* Strong strategic mindset with an ability to distil complex information into powerful commercial stories.* An ability to instil structure and process into a broad multi-functional team that liberates peoples very best work.* Strong creative mindset and desire to push creative boundaries for maximum business effect* Highest standards of accuracy and attention to detail.* Data-orientated approach with a desire to consistently improve results.* Highly organiz
