Job Description

A large, internationally recognised Membership Organisation are looking for an experienced Head of Management Accounts to lead the financial management team and act as the finance system administrator across the department. The post holder will have needto have excellent staff management experience and expertise in both financial and management accounting.Job Responsibilities:

  • Management of the Financial Management Team – 6 staff
  • Managing the production of monthly and quarterly management accounting information to a variety of audiences, both regionally and nationally
  • Providing budget holders receive adequate information
  • Management of the production of the annual statutory accounts
  • Responsibility for the integrity and security of IT aspects of the Finance System
  • Ensuring the integrity of reports used by Finance and budget holders across the entire organisation
  • Responsibility for IT training within Finance and the coordination of upgrades to the Finance system
  • Assisting the Financial Controller in their strategic support to management and committees and in provision of financial information to those groups
  • Assisting the co-ordination of the long term financial planning exercise and budget cycle undertaken by the organisation
  • Assisting in the development of business financial processes and ensuring they are regularly maintained
  • Undertaking any other duties relevant to the key tasks and responsibilities identified by the Financial Controller
Person Specification:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
  • An excellent understanding of forecast and budgeting cycles
  • Experience in both management and financial accounting
  • Extensive staff management experience
  • NFP / Public sector experience within a large complex organisation
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels
