Were looking for a qualified solicitor/lawyer who has the ability to think strategically,deal with internal/external stakeholders, device oeprational plans and deliver them.Position PurposeHead of Legal will be the principal legal adviser to our clients business in Europe and the UK. As a key member of the senior leadership team executive manager, s/he reports to the CEO of the business and provides legal advice and support to the senior leadershipteam on a broad range of legal matters, including negotiation of customer and supplier agreements, telecoms regulatory issues and data privacy and employment law matters. Head of Legal will create and enforcing policies, templates and procedures that ensurecompliance with laws and regulations, drive best practice, help grow the business and educate employees on laws and regulations.Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as the business’ senior legal advisor, providing strategic counsel on a broad range of legal and compliance matters;
• Oversee all aspects of the company’s legal function, including contract negotiation, compliance, and regulatory affairs;
• Negotiate and draft a wide variety of commercial agreements and assisting on tender participation (with enterprises and under UK and EU public procurement regimes);
• Develop and implement templates, policies and procedures to ensure effective negotiation with customers and suppliers and to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
• Provide guidance and leadership on privacy and data security matters;
• Handle complex litigation matters, including government investigations, business continuity and security issues;
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments that could impact the company’s business and take appropriate action to mitigate risk;
• Serve as the primary contact for government regulators, law enforcement, and other third parties; and
• Manage outside counsel spend and develop cost-effective strategies for resolving legal matters, compliance issues and for participation to tenders.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate complex commercial agreements with enterprises and government agencies across the businesses key markets (Finland, UK, France and Spain).
• Develop templates, processes and ways of working that allow the business to scale quickly and effectively.
• Identify and manage regulatory matters (telecoms, privacy etc.) affecting the business.
• Support the expansion of the business into new territories.
• Provide legal advice to procurement, HR and other departments supporting the business

Experience

• Prior experience working on complex commercial contracts in multiple jurisdictions is essential
• Worked for an International or European company
• Need to be able to speak English and at least one other language (Spanish preferred but French or Finnish is also desirable)
• Prior Telecoms or Technology industry experience is desirable
• Prior in-house experience is desirable
