Job Description

We are delighted to be partnering with an award-winning Accountancy firm, on their search for a Head of IT Security.As the Head of IT Security, you will play a pivotal role in the IT function, taking ownership of the IT Security budget, driving technology roadmaps, and leading a high-performing team. Reporting to the Director of IT and collaborating with the firm’s governance,architectural, data, and operational technology teams, you will set the strategic vision for the IT function while supporting the wider goals of the Information Security Committee.We are looking for someone with the following experience:

  • Comfortable communicating complex messages to IT and broader leadership.
  • Ability to build rapport and influence critical stakeholders, this will be vital in securing future investments for the IT Security function.
  • Strong leadership, accountability, and a cross-collaborative mindset, working with diverse teams and functions across various disciplines.
  • Proven cybersecurity leadership experience and a track record of managing teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills, including executive-level engagement with partners, CFOs, and CIOs, will be crucial.
  • Budgeting experience, specifically managing budgets of £2m+, is essential.
The successful person will have broad knowledge across the cybersecurity landscape, encompassing technologies like SASE/SSE, CASB, RBI, ZTNA, M365 E5 Security, Azure/AWS, CSPM, WAF/DDOS/Azure Security, Vulnerability Management (Tenable, Nessus, Qualys),Communications Security, O365, Mimecast/Proofpoint, Endpoint Security (Defender ATP, Carbon Black, Crowdstrike), will be highly valued.This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact as a leader, where you will be instrumental in driving change, enhancing the IT Security function, and supporting the commitment to delivering excellence in technology risk management .
