Job Description

Head of IT - Private Equity, IT Management, IT SecurityWe are working with a small private equity client based in London who are looking for a new Head of IT (Private Equity, IT Management, IT Security) They are a small firm of only 100 users but with a large amount of assets. This is an important role and beinvolved in extensive amounts of engagement with the business, vendors and 3rd parties.This role will also have a strong focus on Information security, as this is a big area for them at the moment. A strong awareness of security practices and processes would be highly beneficial. This role is an excellent relatinonship builder both for internallyand externally, this will help guide the business on technical decisions.To be considered for this Head of IT (Private Equity, IT Management, IT Security) role, its ideal you have:

• LLP experience, ideally within Private Equity.
• Within an IT Management/Service Delivery management position looking for a step up into a more senior role
• A strong understanding of IT/Cyber Security

Core IT

• Manage the technology function effectively by overseeing budgets, overseeing the support function (outsourced), and overseeing key suppliers (especially our managed service provider and managed security provider).
• Ensure IT governance is clearly documented and communicated across the firm, for example updating policy and procedure documents for Information Security (Info Sec) and Disaster Recovery (DR).

Cyber Security

• Keep cyber security as a high priority within the environment and encourage good habits among our staff.
• Oversee: cyber audits; phishing tests; red team tests; cyber training; and other actions, making sure they are done often to raise awareness of cyber security.
• Constantly update the cyber plan to ensure continuous progress in cyber security.
• We utilize a Managed SOC/SIEM and a core part of the role will be the ongoing management of thatrelationship to ensure the client receive the best possible service from our cyber vendor.
• Ensuring high standard for IT Support
• Provide a high-quality "white-glove" support service to our employees, using on-site and remotesupport through a Managed Security Provider (MSP). Your role will be to maintain our "gold standard" and act as a support escalation when needed.

Managing IT Operations

• Ensure that our IT stack is dependable, configured correctly, and offers new services that support our business goals.
• Handle IT infrastructure projects, either on your own or with external partners, to keep our platform updated and in line with best practices.
• Oversee our Microsoft Azure tenant, making sure it is set up properly and adapted as our business needs change, as Microsoft change settings/features, or applying changes based on feedback from cyber audits. This includes all Entra settings, as well asTeams, Exchange, SharePoint, and OneDrive.

Delivering Projects

• Lead projects, either yourself or through vendors, on the business and technology sides. This could involve setting up a SaaS product, introducing a new infrastructure component, or making changes identified by our cyber audits.
• You should be able to work with business stakeholders to gather requirements, have experience running RFI (request for information) and RFP (request for proposal) processes to find the best software to support the business.
