Job Description

Head of Information Security Advantage Resourcing are now searching for a Head of Information Security to join a client based in the City of London on a hybrid basis. This position can be seen as a deputy to the CISO and will take the lead in their absence.In this role, you will be responsible for managing three core areas of security. These will be Security Operations, Security Engineering and Consultancy. Responsible for three direct reports and a total of seven, this is a position in which you will be requiredto implement relevant security controls, liaise with auditors, work on Azure and the Office 365 Cloud technology stack and services within as well as having strong experience in ISO27001.If you have experience working in the SaaS/FinTech/Financial/Insurance sectors, this could be an additional bonus for the role.Key Skills as Head of Information Security

  • Microsoft Azure
  • Sentinel/AIP
  • O365 Cloud technology stack (Attack simulator, Windows Defender ATP etc)
  • ISO27001
  • Implementing and/or owning 1st line Information Security controls
  • Managing multiple security functions
  • Understanding of GRC
  • Solid stakeholder management skills
  • Working with MSSPs
  • Security certifications (Desirable)
Key Responsibilities as Head of Information Security
  • Leading the SecOps team during security incidents/events
  • Operating Information Security controls within the control framework
  • Establishing best practice and standards for the implementation and operational management of security controls
  • Assisting in the implementation and maintenance of ISO27001
  • Liaising with auditors and answering questions regarding controls and providing audit responses to internal and external clients
  • Identifying control gaps and weaknesses within both existing and new businesses
  • Working with a Managed Security Services Provider
  • Working with Microsoft Azure (e.g., Sentinel, AIP) and O365 Cloud technology stack and services within (e.g., Attack simulator, Windows Defender ATP etc)
  • Providing risk guidance for projects within the IT team (evaluating & recommending technical controls)
