Job Description

Head of Group Planning and Reporting: £80,000 - £85,000 + Benefits (6 months FTC+)For a large, complex multi-national organisation, we are recruiting a Head of Group Planning and Reporting initially on a 6-month + Fixed Term Contract. Reporting to the Director of Finance, and leading a team of 2, the Head of Group Planning and Reporting will lead the implementation of new planning and reporting tools, working with the business to create best in class FP&A processes during a time or substantial organisational change and transformation. The Head of Group Planning and Reporting is a Senior Leadership post and will lead the provision of a comprehensive financial planning and management reporting service across the UK, International Regions and Global Strategic Business Units, partnering with Regional FDs and Business Directors.Main Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive financial planning and management reporting service globally, and regionally for all strategic business units
  • Lead the implementation of a new planning and reporting tool, working with the business to increase the effectiveness of the FP&A process in the UK and globally
  • Development and progression of a business case to approval setting out options and value for money
  • Support developments in MI, best practice and analysis and commercial insights to support decision-making
  • Lead on market, competitor, and customer analysis
  • Maintain the BAU management information (MI) reports, improving as necessary
  • Ensure the planning system is maintained and is aligned to the business during change
  • Provide and improve cash forecasting
  • Partner with the Shared Service Centre in India and lead a global FP&A relationship
  • Provide leadership across global FP&A teams, ensuring robust processes are met
  • Drive standardisation of processes across regional and global teams
  • Lead environment of continual performance improvement
  • Feed into the 5-year planning process, building strong relationships with CFO, COO and Finance Directors globally
    • Person Specification:
  • CCAB Qualified with proven experience delivering and managing in similar FP&A roles
  • Strong commercial experience gained in a complex global matrix-managed organisation
  • Experience leading teams in organisations undergoing change and driving for growth
  • Experience with the appraisal of investment projects
  • Experience with implementing new and enhanced financial reporting and MI tools
  • Shared Services Operations experience
  • Development and optimisation of SAP accounting and planning applications
  • Delivery of results within an international structure whilst reporting to tight deadlines
