Job Description

A well-backed cryptocurrency start-up are looking to bring on an experienced Head of Finance to join their fast growing team. This will be a key hire for the business and offers the opportunity to lead the financial strategy and operations of a ground-breaking company at an early stage, in a role that has a wide breadth across the business.The day to day requirements of the Head of Finance include:

  • Working closely with external accountants to set up, implement, and manage the payroll and accounting system
  • Play a big role in the senior leadership team, supporting the CEO, Chief of Staff and Head of Strategy in the decision making process with data and analysis
  • Overseeing finance processes across the business; eg payroll, invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, UK VAT and R&D tax credits
  • Managing key commercial and corporate relationships as well as ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Getting involved in wider parts of the business like investor relations and communicate the company’s financial results, strategic direction etc. to relevant audiences
  • Responsible for building out and managing FP&A, tax, treasury, cash management, fundraising, investor relations, exchange listings and more.
    • Requirements of the Head of Finance include:
  • Senior Management experience within finance at a FinTech, start-up, or crypto company
  • Strong knowledge and passion for the crypto and defi space
  • Strong leadership qualities, with excellent communication and people skills
  • Experience working with accounting software, payroll procedures, and management systems
