Head of Evidence Reviews - National Guideline AllianceWe are seeking a candidate experienced in systematic reviewing with excellent quantitative and qualitative skills to lead the NGA systematic reviewing team whilst ensuring that all systematic reviewing methods, processes and outputs are efficient, fit-for-purpose and meet the requirements of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence guideline (NICE).About us:The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists is a professional membership association dedicated to improving womens health care across the world. We are a global leader in this specialist area, supporting 16,000 members in the UK and internationally.We are a values-led organisation placing high standards, innovation, openness, inclusiveness and trust at the centre of all we do.About the role:As the Head of Evidence Reviews you will work closely with the Senior Director to provide leadership, direction and strategic and operational oversight for the systematic reviewing team, comprising senior systematic reviewers, systematic reviewers and, when applicable, assistant systematic reviewers.NICE guidance is developed to improve the quality of care within the NHS and Social Care. It is based upon the best available evidence and informs practitioners, the public and government agencies on the most effective care.The NGA is a team within the Education and Quality Directorate, which has a staff complement of around 50 and is responsible for continuously developing at least 14 NICE guidelines at a time.Requirements:As the ideal candidate you will have:
