The Intelligent Automation team are at the forefront of the Banks ambition to use exciting new technology to help Britain prosper. To do this were working with ground-breaking technologies at scale to harness the Banks unstructured and conversational data,generating a deeper and more intelligent understanding of our customers from their channel data to power digital experiences that are cognitive, proactive and in-the-moment.As the Engineering Lead, youll work collaboratively with your Product Owner counterpart in a two-in-a-box model while your engineering teams day to day activity will be structured through Agile methodologies. Youll be responsible for setting the labstechnical direction and uplifting our existing digital assets whilst working and coaching a wide variety of technical Engineering fields. Youll pioneer a Fail Fast, Learn Faster mentality within teams to experiment and test new ways of engineering, to actas a change agent for engineering and team culture, fostering a test and learn approach. This is a critical role to help the bank drive forward a rapidly expanding and dynamic set of capabilities tied to conversational banking,unstructured data, and artificial intelligence.One part of the role is resolving complex infrastructure challenges, across our platforms and applications, including oversight for platform upgrades and migrations to target cloud solutions. Equally important is advancing our existing capabilities in linewith cutting-edge industry advancements. • Leading a multi-disciplinary team who are developing, deploying, and running Intelligent Automation capabilities across the whole of Lloyds Banking Group.
• Providing thought leadership and technical direction across Robotic Process Automation, Chatbots, OCR, speech & text analytics, and customer interfaces for identity verification and digital document sharing.
• A role model, coaching your team of highly capable engineers, demonstrating engineering excellence across a number of technical skills in data, analytics and software engineering
• Responsible for the migration and promotion of our digital assetsunstructured data lake, machine learning models, software applicationsto the public cloud
• Leading in value release from the banks data through the development of reusable assets and patterns and demonstrating the benefits of public cloud

What were looking from you

Experience in delivery through agile methodologies and can demonstrate engineering excellence

Industry awareness of technology advancements in this space (Robotic Process Automation, Chatbots, OCR, speech & text analytics, and customer interfaces for identity verification and digital document sharing)

Expertise in deploying and managing intelligent and data-intensive applications with experience with data lakes / warehouses and data engineering solutions in the Cloud

A strong and experienced people leader, able to inspire and encourage the best from their teams

Confident relationship manager with the communication skills necessary to influence senior partners across a broad network to generate and refine data, technical and analytical experiments, course-correct initiatives towards strategic solution and ensureconfidence in delivery.

Manages resources within agreed headcount budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and consideration to known business plans and project roadmaps

Proven track record of building and leading engineering teams with line management responsibilities

Hands-on engineering experience, preferable within a complex technology environment spanning both legacy and modern platforms

Strong knowledge of intelligent automation capabilities and supporting infrastructure Knowledge of modern software development toolsets including DevOps, Continuous Integratio
