Job Description

Someone who is not Afraid to get stuck in and be hands on when needed. You will be managing a Small but Growing Team of 3 others. We are looking for a Relationship Builder and theMaturity to work in a Fast paced Projects led Environment. There are many plans for 2023. This will be a Hybrid Working Role 2 days in the office but the COO is a Pragmatic Person and can be more flexible such as if you have Childcare, Train Strikes Etc!The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Management Information (MI) team and lead the development/maintenance of the Firms MI infrastructure.If you have any Asset Management Experience then that would be amazing! If NOT any Finance, Fintech, Banking or Insurance knowledge would be great as you will be working with Large Data Sets. Essential

  • Good knowledge of SQL Server, SSAS, SSIS and Python,
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in a Data Engineering and Reporting role
  • Good understanding of Dimensional Data Modelling/Data Warehousing, including Data Analysis Expressions (DAX)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and effectively manage stakeholders
Duties 1: Generate Accurate and Timely Management Information
  • Delivery agreed management reports within deadlines to high level of accuracy
  • Ensure consistency and integrity across all MI data sources and reports
  • Automate key reports where possible
  • Develop platforms for information sharing, including self service tools, supported by the suitable user training
Duties 2: Developing and Maintaining MI Systems
  • Define and deliver a long term plan for development of MI systems
  • Introduce new technology to the MI platform for data management and reporting, including self service data provisioning platforms
  • Ensure that existing MI platforms are highly reliable with limited outages and/or data issues
  • Ongoing review and development of existing MI systems to ensure they evolve and continue to meet business requirements
  • Regular engagement with key stakeholders to assess data and reporting needs
Duties 3: Lead Automation Initiatives for Data Provisioning and Reporting
  • Engagement in data related projects including influencing decisions and providing advice on best practice data solution development
  • Influence change initiatives to ensure we deliver appropriate data platforms for automated reporting
  • Manage stakeholders throughout the projects through regular updates and ensure that MI specific actions are delivered within agreed timelines
Duties 4: Generate Accurate and Timely Incentive Scheme Data
  • Delivery of high quality accurate incentive scheme outputs within agreed timelines
  • Introduce and/or improve automation and control within incentive scheme calculation and reporting processes
  • Facilitate assurance processes for validating the incentive scheme models and output data
Duties 5: Team Management
  • Integrate performance management processes into MI function including objective setting, performance monitoring and assessment (mid year/year end) at individual/team level in accordance with defined Sarasin policies and procedures
  • Fulfil the role of team leader in day-to-day management of MI function including ability delegate tasks, set deadlines, deliver high quality outputs and drive team performance
