Were looking for a strong, empathetic leader to takeoversight of all relevant UK regulations and providing advice and guidanceto the businesswho can drive performance and act as an inspirational role model to their team. If this sounds like you, wed love to hear from you.What will you be doingAs the Head of Compliance youll have responsibility for creating and executing the strategic vision for the Compliance function for HSBC Innovation Banking.Youllown policies, procedures and frameworks, with overall responsibility for overseeing theCompliance Risk Profile, as well as managing Regulatory Relations.As a Leader and business advisor, youll need to have a strong command of complex areas of regulation and regulatory change to help guide the business in manner that is consistent with the letter and spirit of all of the laws and regulations that apply.Your key responsibilities:

• Represent the Compliance function and the CRO at governance committees
• Lead and participate in projects representing the broader Risk team; being adept at managing multiple initiatives in a fast paced, complex environment that requires a high degree of collaboration, flexibility and adaptability.
• Develop and mentor a high performing team, and drive engagement within the HSBC Innovation Banking Business and broader HSBC Group
• Oversee Function SMF16 (subject to regulatory approval).
• Communicate the EMEA strategy, mission, vision and ensuring that HSBC INNOVATION BANKING values are embedded consistently within the corporate culture
• Articulate a clear vision and agenda for ethical conduct throughout the business, driving and reinforcing HSBC INNOVATION BANKING culture by embedding core values and creating a strong corporate identity
• Leading the transformation of HSBC INNOVATION BANKINGUK as a legal subsidiary focusing on operational resilience, conduct and prudential management
• Embedding diversity, equity and inclusion into policies, processes, and decision-making processes. Reducing the Gender Pay Gap and other gaps identified from people metrics

What experience do you need

• Proven experience of leading, coaching and developing experienced team members.
• Relevant regulatory experience from a bankingRisk and Compliance environment.
• Strong track record of execution and delivery
• Previous experience with Consumer Duty, PSD2, MAR, MiFID, EMIR and Senior Manager and Certification Regime required.
• Strong relationship building and influencing skills across the bank.
• Data driven, with an ability to use data to deconstruct and solve problems.
