About Financial Crime Execution The CIB Financial Crime Execution (CIB FCE) team manages all elements of the financial crime agenda within the Front Office. The team works across a global footprint and is responsible for driving the financial crime goals and objectives of the bank withinthe relevant business units, working on helping to mitigate the risks of products and services being abused for the purposes of money laundering, terrorism financing, or other financial crime. The CIB FCE remit covers Investment Banking, Global Markets, UK Corporate Banking as well as International Corporate Banking within Investment Banking. The emphasis is on execution of the policies and standards put in place by the Financial Crime Complianceteam within the second line of defence. Responsibilities include the day to day management of the financial crime agenda as it impacts the client lifecycle (onboarding, review and exit decisions) as well as oversight on behalf of the responsible executiveof the day to day controls and execution of risk appetite, with particular focus on good governance of high risk sector clients and special customer types. CIB FCE also ensure good oversight on driving continuous process improvement in the execution of risk control activities, which includes ensuring that relevant KRIs are met and working closely with colleagues in Financial Crime Compliance and in BX to managethe whole lifecycle of the customers interaction with the bank. CIB FCE is made of up four distinct teams: the Risk Assessment Unit, the Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) team, Governance & Control and Business Implementation. These teams are responsible for various elements of the lifecycle, such as subjective decision makingon financial crime processes as impacts individual clients (NOT exceptions to policy), the management of Client and Colleague experience, building towards Barclays being best in class for KYC and onboarding experience and the oversight of financial crimetraining for all front line staff and management of communications for the front line relating to the financial crime agenda. Compliance is a critical part of our business: changes to economic conditions and regulatory requirements make our compliance department a busy place. Many of our compliance team members work with senior business leaders, helping to keep Barclays up to datewith the latest thinking on control and regulation. Overall purpose of role Barclays seeks a Director within CIB Financial Crime Execution, based in the UK, who will support the front office business with expertise in financial crime policy and regulation across the investment banking, corporate banking and payments industries. Fundamental to the role will be an ability to actively contribute to and collaborate with counterparts in the wider organisation to achieve consistency and the sharing of knowledge. The successful candidate will also work very closely with other Complianceand Legal colleagues in order to deliver a coordinated approach that is proactive and preventive. The role will ensure that the CIB FCE team and the broader businesses that it supports has detailed knowledge and advice on a wide range of financial crime matters. The nature of the role requires a demonstrated ability to work effectively across a range ofstakeholders at all levels. Key Accountabilities Reporting into the CIB Head of Financial Crime Execution, the role holder will:

  • Provide strategic advice and direction on financial crime matters to the front office across Barclays Payments (Issuing & Acquiring), UK Corporate Banking, International Corporate Banking, Global Markets and Investment Banking, including m atters relatedto money laundering, bribery and corruption, and sanctions. Enable an effective working relationship between the front office and our colleagues in the second line of defence in Financial Crime Compliance on matters relevant to financial crime prevention,including escalating significant matters, providing additional information, analyzing/interpreting legal, regulatory and internal policy/procedure issues.
