Head of Balance Sheet & NIM Forecasting Are you an accomplished strategist with an aptitude for financial forecasting We invite applications from seasoned leaders to helm our dynamic team in the critical domain of Balance Sheet and Net Interest Margin (NIM) forecasting. We seek an astute leader to spearhead our mission to enhance transparency and forecasting precision within the Balance Sheet and NIM realms, influencing key executivecommittees and driving strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Strategy: • Spearhead the production of comprehensive Group-wide Management Information (MI) on Balance Sheet, Liquidity, and NIM forecasting for vital executive committees. • Devise and implement a strategic framework to elevate the forecasting capabilities of the Group, collaborating seamlessly with the Change team, Treasury, and key business stakeholders. Business: • Assume leadership of Group-wide forecasting activities for Balance Sheet, Liquidity, and NIM, meticulously ensuring lucid communication of pivotal drivers and associated risks. • Conduct sophisticated simulations of liquidity metrics employing advanced Treasury tools to inform forecasts and plans. • Assure alignment of balance sheet forecasts with Regulatory Capital, Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA), and Leverage plans. • Deliver insightful analysis on drivers influencing business performance, facilitating regular executive updates and Board reports. • Take ownership of the central NIM forecasting tool, orchestrating periodic refreshes of assumptions and overseeing planning cycles. Processes: • Guide planning and forecasting processes with an analytical lens, scrutinizing performance drivers and identifying potential risks and opportunities. • Collaborate seamlessly with Group FP&A and Treasury to ensure the punctual, accurate, and consistent analysis of performance. • Supervise NIM, balance sheet, and loans/deposits movement analysis for Investor Relations, meticulously crafting forecast walks. • Institute and monitor robust controls and governance measures within forecasting tools. People & Talent: • Steer the development of the Balance Sheet, Liquidity, and NIM forecasting team, ensuring they are equipped with the requisite skills for excellence. • Define the vision and direction for the team, fostering an environment of empowerment and continual growth. • Collaborate with team members to craft growth plans, nurturing exceptional talent within the team. Risk Management: • Demonstrate proficiency in interpreting financial information, particularly in balance sheet forecasting and financial performance analysis, proactively identifying potential risks to the Groups return and liquidity metrics. • Ensure forecasting tools adhere to stringent controls and governance standards. Governance: • Exhibit a keen awareness and adherence to the Groups policies and procedures. • Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across the organization and external partners, contributing to the robustness of governance measures. Key stakeholders : • Treasury Management • Team Finance Forum • All ACFOs • Key business colleagues including FRM, CPM and other members of Group FP&A and Capital teams Key Requirements: • Preferred qualifications include Chartered Financial Analyst or an accounting qualification. • Exceptional proficiency in written English, showcasing the ability to review, summarize, and communicate complex material accurately and succinctly. • Highly developed Stakeholder Management skills.
