Assistant Team Manager - Havering - Leaving Care TeamEssentially, supporting children, young people and their families where there is an identified need for ongoing intervention. You will be joining 1 of 8 teams of roughly 8-10 people, consisting of Senior/Specialist Social Workers, Social Workers, ASYEsled by a Team Manager. The service is overseen by a Head of Service, supported by 2 Group Managers. The service currently covers Child in Need, Child Protection (including PLO and care proceedings). You will also have extensive knowledge of relevant legislationand experience in this field. As an AP within the Intervention and Support Service you will be required to: 1. Ability to manage a caseload of complex and challenging cases 2. Capability to support the team manager in maintaining and developing high standardsacross the team 3. Represent the service in developing key service provision or strategy initiatives 4. Provide coaching and mentoring within the team as well as effective case management and high quality written work We promote a hybrid model of working forour social care staff, with a flexible approach involving working from our town hall campus/hubs. In this role, you are expected to work from our town hall campus during your teams duty week, for team meetings and other development days - and at the requestof your manager. We are encouraging increased face to face working for teams as we know how important this is for social workers and all meetings with children and familiy take place face to face.Benefits in this role:* Supportive team and management* Flexible working available* Long term contract* Progression opportunitiesYour main responsibilities include:* Hold and effectively manage a complex and varied caseload with appropriate supervision, guidance, and support, reflecting the function of the team and the Vulnerable People Service in accordance with policy, procedures, guidance and legislation.* Undertake work within legislative frameworks including the preparation of written statements and representations to the judiciary at Court hearings.* You will be accountable for complex decision making in relation to caseloads ensuring professional judgement, service user involvement, needs led assessment, critical reflection, and analysis to inform this.* You will identify and assess levels of risk and need (within statutory frameworks) in often complex situations. Undertake safeguarding investigations and deliver protective and/or supportive services for individuals at risk and maintain up to date assessments,care plans and reviews.* You will be preparing statements of need/care and support plans, in consultation with other agencies as appropriate, that reflect the wishes of the individual and lead to the commissioning of personalised packages of care.* You will undertake direct work with adults and their families in line with care plans.* You will work co-operatively with both internal and external colleagues across multi - agency boundaries.Essential requirements:* Social Work England registration* Eligible to work in the UK* 2 years+ post-qualified experience* Degree level or equivalent in Social WorkBenefits of working with Remedy
