Job Description

Our client, A FTSE 100 PLC, require a qualified Group Reporting Accountant to work at their head office in Central London. It is likely to be for a period of c. 3 months.The main purpose of the role is to prepare the accounts for the head office subsidiaries. This involves:

  • Preparation of the report and accounts for 8 head office companies
  • Liaison with auditors to ensure a smooth audit process
  • Liaison with Company Secretarial team to adopt agreed disclosure wording
  • Liaison with Tax team to ensure tax information is collected and reported to both tax dept and tax advisors.
    • The ideal candidate will have a background in technical / financial accounting with strong experience of UK GAAP / IFRS and will have recent experience of producing sets of UK statutory accounts under FRS101. A knowledge of the accounts preparation software package "CaseWare" is also advantageous.Good written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with individuals as well as with groups of people at all levels in the organisation.Confident working under tight deadlines with the ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member.You will be required to visit the offices for induction, but there is flexibility on working from home where possible.You need to be available to start the contract immediately / within one week.
