Group Management AccountantLeading Restaurant Group up to £60,000 + great benefits + 20% bonus Hybrid Working (3 days pw office2 wfh) Central London Purpose of the Role:To ensure timely and accurate delivery of cost information to the business in conjunction with thefinance accounting calendar. Clear understanding of drivers behind fixed and variable cost performanceand delivery commissions across the Group.Scope of the Role:* Ultimate responsibility for all variable, fixed and delivery commission costs across the Groupincluding preparing commentary for the senior finance team* Ownership of the Group budgeting and forecasting process* Generating insights into cost performance and work with the wider team to deliver cost savings* Developing a team of high performing individuals which demonstrate the capability to progress withinthe group* Accounting for central costs and monitoring against budget* Responsible for the accounting entries relating to gift cards and commissions* Liaise with the external suppliers and third parties* Periodic balance sheet preparation and review* Providing key support for all members of the management and finance team* Ad hoc projectsKey Accountabilities:* Management of a Cost Accountant to produce period end accounts for fixed and variable costs* Production of the Group Management accounts* Period end journals including accruals and prepayments* Review monthly P&Ls and provide insight to senior management* Responsibility for all third party commissions* Forming a forward view and scenario planning that can be integrated into the brands rolling projections* Responsible for the preparation of owned balance sheet reconciliations and the collation and filling of allthe reconciliations* Drive efficiencies and cost savings where possible* Review of the teams periodic balance sheets and update senior management where appropriate* Support year end audit process* Accrue for sales received in the period and associated commission charges* Post breakages relating to gift cards* Analysis of Group InitiativesExperience, Skills & behaviours:* Qualified accountant ACCA/CIMA/ACA* Team player* The candidate should be a self-starter, who is willing and able to take initiative* Strong communication skills, with a willingness to liaise with different department (e.g. cash control,accounts payable, brand finance teams) across the business* Advanced excel skills* High attention to detail* Good analytical skills* Organised with ability to work to strict deadlines
