Job Description

City based Professional Services Organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Spanish speaking Group Financial Controller to head up their London Office.Managing a Team of 7 finance staff and reporting to the MD. Some International travel will be requiredKey Responsibilities

  • Ensure all statutory and tax deadlines are met among the group’s multiple jurisdictions.
  • Review the preparation of the management accounts for all company offices in conjunction with external accountants in each office in Latin America & Asia.
  • Analyse financial statements, review income and costs relative to goals; take corrective action as necessary.
  • Plan, develop and approve specific operational policies, programs, procedures and methods in concert with general policies.
  • Develop, maintain and administer a sound organizational plan; initiates continuous improvement of working practices
  • Develop and manage relationship between the company and associates.
  • Monitor and report to the board on Working Capital Management, office and fee earners performance, SLA’s, solving problems, reducing WIP, improving billing and credit control.
  • Establish budgets and forecasts for new offices.
  • Perform due diligence, research foreign tax obligations, withholding tax exposure, regulatory and statutory compliance, networking with local experts.
  • Responsible for the successful roll out, delivery and implementation of the bespoke finance system ERP among the group.
  • Perform other duties as required by directors.
  • Skills and Experience
  • Ideally SPANISH speaking
  • At least 4 years experience in accounts and finance department within SME, preferably service company
  • Qualified Accountant
  • A flexible and hands on Accountant
  • Strong technical accounting and consolidation experience
  • Experience of working within a Partnership / LLP environment. Accountants, Solicitors, Architects etc.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint
  • Knowledge and experience with Deltek-Maconomy and ERP’s
  • Availability to travel once a month on average (Post Covid restrictions)
  • Proven track record in effective operations and financial management.
