Role OverviewThe role involves overseeing all year-end Financial Reporting and the creation of the Annual Report for TP ICAP Group plc. Additionally, it serves as a strategic advisor to the Group CFO, contributing to the companys competitive edge. This position requiresa proactive approach to change management, challenging established norms, and evaluating the financial and reporting framework. The role also involves active participation in shaping the strategic business plan and fostering a corporate culture aligned withthe firms values. Furthermore, the incumbent will manage the Group Finance team, encompassing FP&A and Group Tax, and collaborate closely with Divisional CFOs, regional finance teams, and Group Treasury. Effective staffing, training, mentoring, and equitable rewards are essentialcomponents to achieve departmental objectives while maintaining employee morale and engagement. Role is responsible for managing and setting group standard and in looking at how to transform and improve operations using technology as an enabler. Role Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for all year-end Financial Reporting and over-sight of the preparation of the Annual Report for TP ICAP Group plc.
  • Pro-active change manager, this individual will be expected to challenge the status quo, reviewing the Firms financial and reporting framework, engaging on the strategic business plan agenda, and helping instil a culture that reflects the values of thefirm.
  • Management responsibilities of the Group Finance (including FP&A and Group Tax) team and close collaboration with Divisional CFOs, regional finance teams and Group Treasury.
  • Effective staffing to secure the achievement of departmental objectives and targets as well as provide training, mentoring and fair reward to maintain morale and engagement.
  • Deliver sound financial reporting and monitor the Firms capital and liquidity position, together with leverage ratios. Provide timely, accurate and complete financial performance data and management information that enables decisions to be made accurately,quickly and implemented at speed.
  • Establish and provide clear vision, direction and visible leadership to the Group Finance function with frequent and open communication, ensuring that it is commercially focused and works in complete partnership with the business, driving financial andbusiness performance.
  • Set Group standard to ensure appropriate financial governance and financial control environments, effective budgeting, forecasting and cost management across all legal entities.
  • Establish trusted relationships with agreed external stakeholders; auditors, investors, regulators, advisors, investor relations etc .
  • Work with the Group CEO, Group CFO and Divisional and regional CFOs to enable the delivery of the financial targets and ensure that the business and support function heads are held to account to deliver effective budgeting and forecasting of income andcosts to the financial performance targets of their functions.
  • Review, assess and seek to modernise the financial reporting process, with a focus on evaluating / introducing machine learning and other tools to create a more efficient and agile reporting process.
  • Lead and manage the financial planning processes, aligning financial targets with business strategy and commercial goals and develop options / recommendations to help the Firm achieve its overall targets.
  • Play an instrumental role in maintaining the control of costs across the Firm.
  • Liaise and co-ordinate with external advisors, manage and direct Group Finance resource as appropriate to enable planning and execution of M&A and other corporate activities.
  • Act as a culture-bearer, ensuring the new conduct, culture, values and goals set out by the Group CEO and Group CFO become embedded in the Finance function, as a best practice example.
Supervisory Duties
  • Management and supervision of the Group Finance Team Ensure that the competencies and skills of Group Finance are appropriate to their responsibilities and the needs of the Firm, continually building and developing a high calibre team and a sustainablepipeline of future finance leaders.
  • Establish an environment that promotes respect for individuals and adheres to the policies and guidelines of the Firm.
  • Provide leadership, direction, advice and guidance to the team, thus maintaining high levels of integrity, motivation and morale.
Experience / CompetencesEssential
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant or similar qualification is required.
  • Demonstrated change and transformation experience.
  • Proven leadership skills required.
  • Experience in participating and presenting at board level and across differing committees.
