Job Description

Group Financial Accountant (6 Month Contract)Group Financial Accountant required on a contract basis for a rapidly expanding Insurance firm based in the City of London.This a hybrid working role with plenty of opportunity for home working!Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring the integrity of the general ledger and compliance with IFRS and Multi-GAAP standards
  • Accountability for seeing that IFRS technical accounting standards are appropriately applied
  • Fully responsible for the consolidation of accounts and production of monthly, as well as quarterly reports
  • Assist in timely submission of all statutory and regulatory returns including tax across all the countries we operate in
  • Assist in preparation of FCA reports on a quarterly basis
  • Work closely with the FP&A team to align technical accounting with business requirements
  • Review the work of an assistant accountant including AP entries, FA register and double entry bookkeeping
  • Ongoing project work and process improvement
Our client is looking for candidate with the following profile:
  • ACA/ACCA qualified accountant with external audit training
  • 1-5 years post qualified industry experience in a financial accounting/financial reporting capacity
  • Multicurrency financial consolidations experience preferable
  • Available to start quickly
  • Must have right to work in the UK, either a UK work visa or citizenship / no opportunity of sponsorship
