Job Description

We are currently working with a global real estate business who are hiring a newly qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant to join the team as a Group Accountant. Someone who is recently qualified with up to 1-2 years PQE will be considered. This award winning Real Estate firm are headquartered in London and have more than 600 offices worldwide.Your new roleThey work to a hybrid schedule or 3 days in the office per week.As a newly qualified Accountant you will be responsible for monthly group consolidated accounts, working closely with the Financial Controller and two Business Partners in the Europe and Middle East function. As part of the monthly management and quarterlyreporting, you will own the statutory accounting process and the main point of contact for key accounting technical matters.The Group Accountant will have responsibilities for the following but not limited to:

  • Preparation and in-depth analysis of the inter-co for the Group, covering especially Europe and Middle East.
  • Preparation of monthly Finance pack
  • Monthly and Quarterly reporting
  • Production of financial sections of presentations to be delivered by the Chief Financial Officer at meetings/committees
  • IFRS Implementation
  • Balance Sheets for certain entities on a monthly and quarterly basis, responding to any Balance Sheet-related requests from Plc or other areas of the business
  • Technical review of Accounting standards
  • Continually drive improvement in quality and efficiency of financial reporting processes through alignment of local and global processes and policies to meet the objectives of Groups reporting requirements
The Group Accountant applying for this role will require the following:
  • Experience with large consolidations and multicurrency accounts is required
  • ACA, CIMA or ACCA Qualified recently or up to 1-2 years PQE
  • Experience of using a large-scale consolidation and reporting system is essential.
  • Strong level of proficiency in MS Excel
  • Strong technical accounting and IFRS knowledge and experience of dealing with relevant accounting issues
