Job Description

The biggest bank by Market Cap to operate in Africa they offer full spectrum Corporate and Investment Banking. Description

  • Responsibility for complete, accurate and timely financial analysis and reporting:
  • Produce and validate daily P&L, monthly P&L and Balance Sheet.
  • Working closely with Business Unit, based in Head Office a as well as the London Branch, to move month-end from Source Systems to Oracle TB through to Group and Regulatory reporting in group reporting systems.
  • Produce and provide commentary on daily P&L, monthly income statement and to explain deviations from forecast and budget numbers.
  • Compilation of annual budgeted numbers and monthly forecasts
  • Perform monthly balance sheet and income statement review with commentary on monthly moves.
  • Manage and report inter company position and HFM (Group consolidation) promotion for all responsible packs.
  • Ensure correct recording and reporting of Hedge Accounting transactions. Assist the London Branch Regulatory and Group reporting accountants:
  • Ensure that the desk reports are accurately presented in final group reporting systems for reporting to the regulator.
  • Analyse and clear queries arising on consolidation with reference to the Treasury desk.
  • Production of monthly MIS for the desk.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting and regulatory rules, User Acceptance testing resource for any systems migrations e.g. General Ledger and source systems Stakeholder relationship management & Business Partnership:
  • Act as the key contact for the front office business queries and ad hoc request.
    • Profile
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAEW or eqivalent) with experience in a finance role in a regulated CIB environment
  • Treasury experience an advantage but not a requirement
  • Knowledge of HFM
  • Knowledge of Oracle OBIEE, RADA, Intergra T, Murex, Oracle EBS
