Youll gain exposure to the full software development lifecycle working on new features and enhancements as well as being responsiblefor maintaining the system.The successful candidate will be joining a company that has recently embarked on a multimillion-pound digital transformation project that will revolutionize our technology landscape.This is an incredible opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team who will provide the candidate with training and development on some of the most in demand technical skills, such as Docker and Kubernetes, Azure cloud and mobile apps in an agile environment.Primary Expectations Technology or Finance orientated degree at 1st or 2:1 levelGood knowledge and experience of Core Java, common build and development tools, open-source web frameworks or messaging systems.Experience or interest in functional programming with Java or Scala.Linux server, desk-top and shell scripting.Practical database skills with SQL or document databases (such as SQL Server, MongoDB).Must be both a strong team worker and a self-starter and have good interpersonal skills - respectful, eager to teach, learn and share.Attention to detail and appreciation of quality.Ability and drive to learn and support a complex trading system.Bonus Skills, or to be acquired on the jobMaven, SBT and Ant build tools.Mercurial, GitHub, Jenkins, IntelliJ, NetBeans IDE and RCP, Visual Studio Code.Application development, deployment and support with Docker and Kubernetes in a DevOps environmentMicrosoft Azure Devops build and deployment pipelines.Client and Server side socket programming with TCP, UDP and libraries such as Netty.Exchange API protocols, FIX protocol.Spring Boot framework.Web and mobile, Javascript, Typescript, React, React Native.Administration level Linux, RabbitMQ, MongoDB.Previous experience in a financial trading environment, especially futures and options.If you want to have exposure to a diverse and modern technology suite and progress your career as a Developer in the financial world, this will be for you.Hybrid working with a mix of office and home base.
