Job Description

Graduate Information Scientists (Life Sciences)City of London Salary: £18,000- £23,000 rising to £20,000 - £25,000 after training plus shift allowances dependant on experienceGraduate Information Scientists (Life Sciences)We are a well-known and well respected clinical trial and medical information services provider whose services include a 24 hour telephone information service for the following sectors: Medical Information Service, Veterinary Poisons Information Service and Clinical Trials. Due to expansion, we are now looking for Graduate Information Scientists. We would like to hear from Life Sciences Graduates, in particular candidates with degrees encompassing Pharmacology. Please note that these roles require shift working after the training period and therefore we require all potential candidates to consider the need for 24 hour flexibility when applying for this role.Graduate Information Scientists (Life Sciences)

  • Respond promptly to telephone enquiries and provide clear and accurate information that meets the enquirers needs
  • Answer emergency enquiries from veterinary professionals and animal welfare organisations using specified information resources to provide information and advice on possible clinical effects and appropriate management of poisoned animals.
  • Answer requests from healthcare professionals and the public for information on pharmaceutical products using standard responses, summary of product characteristics and patient information leaflets.
  • Respond to requests from healthcare professionals for emergency unblinding of patients on clinical trials and provide them with information about the trial drugs so they can determine the appropriate emergency care for the patient
  • Identify adverse events and product complaints and report promptly and accurately to clients.
  • Make accurate, legible and complete records of enquiries
  • Carry out quality checks of their own and their colleagues enquiry records
  • Write instructions and procedures and undertake other tasks to support the operation of the service
  • Participate in an ongoing training programme to ensure familiarity with internal procedures and information resources, and to maintain current subject knowledge.
