What a wonderful company and fantastic career patch with brilliant training (Ideally you’ll have a geo related degree or Civil engineering degree with Geo modules)** The principal functions of this position are to carry out environmental and geotechnical monitoring and sampling, as well as data management and reporting **What is on offer and what is the role: Cracking starting salary, benefits and great holiday allowance1. Extensive training and development program which will commence after individuals complete their probationary period. 2. Company induction, initial basic training & PPE issue will be provided from commencement of your employment. 3. A suitable vehicle will also be provided. 4. Reports / Responsible to Monitoring Engineer (Line Manager)Key areas of responsibility· Attend site to obtain groundwater samples. · Operate sampling equipment. · Liaising with third parties to arrange site access. · Liaise with testing laboratories, to arrange testing of samples, delivery of consumables. · Manage data from laboratories. · Presentation and reporting of data within monthly and quarterly reports. · Other geotechnical monitoring requirements associated with our works. · Liaise with clients. Qualifications & Experience · Ability to use computer for email, MS Word and Excel. · A valid driving license, a vehicle will be provided. · Awareness of geotechnical sampling and testing. · Site experience useful, but not essential. · Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills and written communication skills. · Resourcefulness, initiative and the ability to work unsupervised. · Demonstrate problem solving skills and a practical mindset. A motivated and hardworking individual is essential for this position. NB: The position requires the candidate to hold a full valid UK driving license. Site locations are from Aylesbury at the south section of the project and Royal Leamington Spa at the north section. The candidate would be required to travel to site locations between the two. Though flexibility to travel throughout the UK is beneficial.LIVE APRIL 2021 - START ASAP !
