Job Description

Google Cloud & Security Engineer (GCP):

  • Remote first (client based in London).
  • 6 month Contract (outside IR35).
  • Circa £650 per day + (depending on exp).
    • Client and role for Google Cloud & Security Engineer (GCP):Were currently helping a global, award winning, digital media organisation to hire a Google Cloud & Security Engineer (GCP)with a Security background on a 6 month contract in the team responsible for Data Technology.What you’ll be doing as a Google Cloud & Security Engineer (GCP):
  • You will focus on implementing security best practices across our GCP estate.
  • You will contribute to design and adoption of new security controls across our GCP estate.
  • You will build a new generation of tooling to support their data engineering projects and wider security across our GCP estate.
  • You will be expected to conduct knowledge sharing on GCP and security through pairing, collaboration and coaching others across the department.
  • You will be working with data warehouse technologies including BigQuery, DataProc, DBT and Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow).
  • You will be working in a cross-functional team, which is empowered to rapidly iterate and release new features.
  • Tech stack in the team is Scala, Apache Spark and running in GCP and AWS, but we use the tool that best fits the problem.
    • Skills and experience needed for Google Cloud & Security Engineer (GCP):
  • You are a Google focused Cloud Security Engineer.
  • Any experience in Data Engineering would be a great help.
  • Experience in Coding/Programming would be nice to have too.
  • You inspire the people you work with, and are inspired by them in return.
