The Global Reconciliation Utility (GRU) is responsible for defining and executing a common operating model that delivers a scalable and controlled service offering, supporting reconciliation production globally. The organization is leading a significant,multi-year transformation effort targeting risk remediation, cost efficiency, standardization and simplification of our recon processes and platforms across Operations. GRU is geographically aligned to a follow-the-sun model with Citi Solution Centers supporting all regions and business lines. The organizations footprint spans across 10 Countries and facilitates reconcilement of over 41 billion transactions per annum. Thisrole requires a good understanding of the industry, and direct competitors products and services, which are necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business, alongside thorough understanding of Operations overall reconciliationstrategy and alignment between GRU and all relevant lines of business. This senior management level position will responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team.The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities. Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple teams of technical professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)
• Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end results
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards
• Integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals
• Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations including drawing from internal and external sources
• Stakeholder Management - influencing and negotiating with senior leaders across technology and operations, with expert understanding of requirements and the ability to communicate that across all functions/ teams
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firms reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adheringto Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountabilitywith those who fail to maintain these standards.

Experience:

• Relevant experience in an Applications Development Management position
• Experience managing global technology teams
• Experience in Market Operations - specifically development of reconciliations
• Working knowledge of industry practices and standards
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

• Bachelors degree/University degree OR equivalent experience
• Masters degree beneficial but not essential
