If youre used to interpreting insurance related financial statements and you have a wider understanding of insurance related information, such as economic data, demographic data and political events and youre looking for a new challenge this could be just your thing.Job Role: Global Information Analyst - Statistics & AnalyticsLocation: London - E1 8QSSalary: Excellent DOEYou will become a Subject Matter Expert responsible for analysing insurance financial data, such as company profit and loss results, balance sheets, underwriting statements and using your outstanding insurance industry knowledge to help us continue to grow our fantastic company.A bit about usAxco is the leading supplier of global insurance market information with over 50 years’ experience in researching and publishing industry intelligence on insurance and employee benefits.Our specialist teams secure local insurance and employee benefits market information on a worldwide basis to ensure that Axco reports contain the most up-to-date, reliable and accurate industry information available.Main Purpose of RoleIn this job role, you will focus your SME skills on the delivery of client projects (ongoing and ad-hoc) whilst also ensuring our statistical databases for over 180 countries are kept accurate and up to date.You will be contributing directly to our data strategy - ensuring that the data is used efficiently, managed like an asset and delivered to our clients both as a product and service.Youll be preparing statistical documents covering life and non-life insurance data for over 180 countries so youll need to be comfortable in dealing with large sets of data and the use of BI tools (e.g. PowerBI), data visualisation and SQL will definitely be advantageous.In this job role you will have the opportunity to be a true SME and go to person within the team meaning we will also ask you to participate in client meetings and demonstrations within your area of expertise.If you have experience in analysing insurance financial data, such as company profit and loss results, balance sheets, underwriting statements, have exceptional Insurance industry knowledge, fantastic numeracy skills and attention to detail and you are looking for a role which will allow you to put your knowledge to good use, why not apply and our Talent Acquisition Team will get in touch.Skills and Experience Required:- Experience in interpreting insurance financial statements, understanding of insurance financial information, such as financial statements, company accounts, and other sector data. Understanding of wider insurance business information, such as economic data, demographic data, political events etc.- Experience in analysing insurance financial data, such as company profit and loss results, balance sheets, underwriting statements, using industry knowledge- Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel- A degree in Actuarial Science or similar would be preferable- Strong data analysis skills- Comfortable in dealing with large sets of data- Knowledge of BI tools (e.g. PowerBI), data visualisation and SQL is advantageous- Both Axco and the Statistics and Analytics team are a small team and we are looking for an analsyt with the following attributes who will be able to thrive within this exciting yet challenging environment."We are committed to equality, equality of opportunity and valuing diversity"
