Job Description

A respected & established European Investment Bank are now hiring for aGlobal Head Of Risk FX Support .This will be based at their London Liverpool St Location. Salary on off er is £107,000 Basic + Bonus + Package.Summary

  • Responsible for the global frontline support of the FX IT booking and risk systems:
  • Linear FX - Sigma & Orchestrade trade management, Barracuda order management, Deal Hub booking, and associated smaller functions
  • Non-linear FX - Murex & Orchestrade trade management, Risk Engine & Thor risk and P&L monitoring, FCO Blotter, and associated smaller functions
  • Manage the team of frontline support personnel in London, Hong Kong, and New York who provide 24-hour support to the FX trading business globally
  • Ensure a very responsive service to trading, sales, middle office, risk management, back office and all other system users with prompt communication, rapid resolution, and appropriate follow-up for all issues
  • Work closely with FX e-commerce and back-office support functions, and with project delivery teams to provide seamless support function from users perspective
Key Responsibilities
  1. Management: Develop good relations with the FX trading business (FO, MO/Risk, BO), Control costs and follow relationship with third parties, manage / assist members of team (business or technical analysts)
  2. Support: provide 24/7 support coverage
  3. Co-ordinate with other teams worldwide (IT, Middle Office, Back Office, Sales, Traders, Data Management, etc...) as required
  4. Work with local people managers in the different regions to ensure positive, coherent management of team members through a matrix reporting structure
  5. Take ownership of production issues, propose solutions, and track follow-up to avoid re-occurrence.
  6. Enforce change management procedures to ensure production stability while facilitating rapid system advances
  7. Co-ordinate tasks with other teams in the global CA centers
  8. Participate to DRP / BCP exercises, regulatory/compliance exercises, and follow up related tasks.
  9. Provide leadership to the CMI IT support team both locally and globally
  10. Provide and contribute to periodical Level 1 Support local and global reporting (ITSC monthly reports, etc.)
Pro-active monitoring of system health metrics to identify issues before they impact the tradingRequired experience& Knowledge:- Higher education (Degree or Equivalent)- Very good experience of IT, definitely including Front Office, but also MO/RISK, and BO if possible-Experience of supporting FX IT trading applications, including incident and stakeholder management-Team leadership experience-Knowledge of FX cash and FX option products-Excellent understanding of relational databases, messaging middleware, trading applications, application deployment and monitoring, and other IT tools.-Experience with vendor management- Excellent communication and social skills / Good leader /Capacity to analyse, track/ and maintain a coherent view of requests / issues /Flexibility/ able to cope with pressureDesirable skills:-Precious metals knowledge-Understanding of derivative risk-Experience within a matrix management structure-Good knowledge of FX market participants such as trading venues-Knowledge of Capital Markets Systems & Products (Treasury, Interest Rates)-Specific experience with Orchestrade, Murex, Barracuda, or Deal HubIf you have the required skills and experience please send your up-to date CV
