Job Description

Global Director - People SolutionsHybrid - UK only. (This can be based out of London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Cardiff or Belfast)£88,001 - £95,357This is a large, international, matrix organisation.You will lead and develop the global People Solutions function for the organisation to develop and embed effective, efficient and simple processes and solutions to create better experiences.This includes three key strands of accountability:Building capability across four geographic hubs (UK; Asia Pacific-APAC; Americas Europe-AME-EUR; Middle East and Africa-MEA) to deliver excellence in advisory and operations services; setting and embedding global standards and guidance for employee relationsto reflect values, behaviours, and code of conduct to support all areas of the business; and ensuring effective operational contract management with a managed service provider. With a deep understanding of the most critical needs of the organisation, an appreciation of the complexities of local market and legal contexts, and knowledge of effective people processes, ensures that People Solutions are delivered effectively through abalance of internal capability and outsourced services. Cultivates and embeds new ways of working between this function, the Talent and Organisation Development function, the People Experience and Insight function and an external managed service provider.The post holder will build on organisational success and learnings in the centralisation of standardised People function services through a shared service centre and will enhance and improve the end-to-end experience of People function processes by ensuringseamless integration between our newly appointed managed service provider and in-house People function operations capability. They will build and embed a fit-for-purpose and consistent people advisory service across our global operations, ensuring that colleaguesand people managers have access to HR professional input at the point of question. Working with senior HR leaders and business leads, they will cultivate new ways of working between people advisors, people managers, and Employee Relations to build line managercapability to mitigate or manage low risk cases, and to provide a consistent global approach to management of medium and high-risk cases.As a strong communicator, people leader and collaborator, the role will build and manage high performing, operational and advisory teams delivering People services at scale by building and maintaining healthy, collaborative cross functional relationships. Thisis an internal-facing role that will be the business owner for improving and embedding new ways of working across our people service delivery function and driving improvement and solutioning for operational and advisory excellence, while ensuring that allthe stakeholders are involved and aligned throughout the process.About you.To be consider for this role you will be CIPD qualified with significant experience of working in a senior level HR/People advisory role and change and transformation.
