Job Description

Job Title: Geography TeacherJoin this successful school to inspire and support student achievement across KS3, KS4. As a Geography Teacher, you will work collaboratively, maintaining high academic standards and driving continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop clear, challenging learning objectives aligned with school policies.
  • Set homework, ensuring adherence to year group policies.
  • Identify and support students with Special Educational Needs.
  • Plan lessons for pace, motivation, and challenge, assessing and adjusting as needed.
  • Ensure effective teaching through high expectations, sound learning, and discipline.
  • Create a safe learning environment, utilising varied teaching methods.
  • Differentiate instruction for all abilities without capping learning.
  • Provide clear feedback on student work, maintaining accurate records.
  • Uphold equal treatment for all students, safeguarding their welfare.
  • Contribute to school policies and procedures, positively impacting the schools ethos.
  • Participate in appraisal procedures and continuous professional development.
  • Attend school meetings and maintain positive communication with parents.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Evidence of excellent classroom practice or the potential to achieve it.
  • Track record of successful student outcomes across Key Stages.
  • High expectations of pupil attainment and behaviour.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Passion for providing extensive extra-curricular opportunities.
