Job Description

A specialist Pharmaceutical client with a focus in Mens Health is looking for a General Manager or Country Lead, with a background in the pharmaceutical industry.The CompanyA pioneering pharmaceutical start-up currently disrupting the industry with their cutting edge distribution solutions.General Manager RoleThis new employment opportunity is centred on managing a close-knit team and driving channels of communication for the organisation, developing and implementing marketing strategies and tactics successfully using a thorough understanding of the Mens Healthmarket. The role will be based in Central LondonThe General Manager has the end-to-end ownership of the assigned product portfolio and the insights driven product roadmap development as well the whole product life-cycle management of their global product portfolio. This person will be a well-known asa subject matter expert in the area of their portfolio.Reporting to the CEO and Business Founder, you will be responsible for developing the marketing strategy in line with key business objectives and industry trends. Other responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for a part of the global product portfolio
  • Develop the marketing mix for the assigned product portfolio including of product positioning and value proposition
  • Active key stakeholder to contribute to the areas of pricing strategy, promotion and assets creation
  • Lead product marketing activities for the responsible portfolio including product lifecycle management, insights driven product roadmaps andlong term portfolio vision
  • Review, consult and sign off profitable business plans for the assigned product portfolio
  • Develop and manage the budget for the assigned product portfolio
  • Turn market / competition / customer needs analyses into business and product value propositions and ensures that the assigned product portfolio supports the strategy
  • Active member of the project teamfor thedevelopment of new products
  • Coach and enable team members to be active PM representatives within the project teams
  • Actively engage with senior management and with regions to drive the clients ambitions as a global brand (with some market visits required)
  • Collaborate with Quality and Regulatory functions to ensure that all known quality and regulatory requirements for the assigned product portfolio are fulfilled
  • Lead and coach the team members according the HR processes (Recruiting, Performance Evaluation, Target setting, Talent Management etc.)
Role Requirements
  • Degree in business related field
  • At least 7 years of experience in a global / or more complex role as a General Manager or similar
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical Industry preferred
  • English fluent written & spoken
  • Knowledge in MS-Office
  • Project management skills
  • Knowledge of a regulated & global environment
  • Curious, open-minded & inspiring
