JOB AD:The Game Ecosystem team was established to ensure that software and hardware platforms provide world-class gaming experience for consumers by working hand in hand with the Game Development Community.The teams mission includes:Leading activities in the Khronos Group developing next generation standards for 3D graphicsCollaboration with the Game Development Community to ensure the best gaming experience on the top titles is available on Products.Optimisation of game engines and promoting new technologies with the objective of advancing the gaming experienceWe are looking for a dynamic and creative team leader who is passionate about mobile gaming and has a track record of success in the gaming industry.Role and ResponsibilitiesAs leader of the Games Ecosystem team you will:Lead the Standardisation activity and direction in the Khronos Group with a focus on the future development of the Vulkan API.Build and maintain strong relationships with game industry partners (for example, game developers, graphics chip suppliers, game engine providers, platform owners) Manage a team of Game Development Engineers to work with Game Engine Companies and Game Developers to promote best practice and to achieve maximum performance.Actively contribute to strategy for maximising the reach and impact of mobile gaming on the range at a both a local and global level Evangelise gaming message to industry by presenting and speaking at public events, e.g. GDC, .Mange the delivery and publication of technical marketing material to support the gaming message to industry Lead and develop a team of experienced gaming and graphics engineers, managing their objectives and providing a productive and rewarding environment for them to achieve success Produce high quality deliverables (presentations and written reports) All work is to be of a professional standard, paying due regard to safety, efficiency, cost effectiveness, time scales and the needs of the Company.Skills and QualificationsSkills and attributes:Required SkillsBS or higher degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Natural Science, Mathematics, Engineering or any related discipline A background in the computer games industry Understanding of GPU technology and trends Good working knowledge of one or more 3D Graphics technologies (DirectX, OpenGL, OpenGL, Metal and/or Vulkan) Ability to represent professionally in external engagement at a senior level with strategic partners and third parties An effective communicator able to clearly present complex ideas to large groups both internal and external to the company.Ability to create meaningful, engaging presentations and deliver them to diverse audiences Willingness to travel internationally frequently.Desirable SkillsExperience of people management in small to medium-sized teams Experience of working in standards / specification groups A degree of commercial acumen ideally built upon a solid technical foundation Knowledge of the mobile device market Familiarity with Android platform Public speaking experience
