Job Description

OverviewPosition summary The AIS Real Estate Accountant will be assigned to a specific set of funds and clients with support of a small number of staff in outsourced locations to service a portfolio of Real Estate clients. The role will serve as primary day to day finance contact forReal Estate Funds, with responsibility over all financial and performance reporting to the client funds and their investors. The Real Estate Specialist will provide premier client service and is responsible for the production of monthly/quarterly/annual reportingto Real Estate clients. The incumbent will also be responsible for ensuring a strong control environment is maintained at all times including strict adherence to Global procedures and controls. Essential Functions - Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and/or review of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting;
  • Responsible for primary day to day contact for specific Real Estate clients and funds. Actively contribute to the production of Real Estate client reporting. Ensures prompt escalation of potential client issues and contribute to developing solutions thatmeet client requirements
  • Ensure that Real Estate client deliverables are produced accurately and in compliance with policy within expected timeframe agreed in client service level documents. This may include both production of financial and performance information oneself, or reviewingthe work produced by others within the team. Promptly ensures any service delivery issues are escalated.
  • Responsible for ensuring that financial reporting for Real Estate clients are prepared in line with company policy and procedure. Assists with resolution of any queries from Internal Control, Internal Audit or external audit reviews
  • Support and/or review of fund forecast and waterfall models
  • Responsible and support for new Fund set ups and understanding of the various structures and reporting requirements
  • Where work is being outsourced to actively monitor the KPI requirements against actuals and provide a robust oversight on all activities being performed
What we are looking for:
  • Preferable experience in the use of Yardi and/or Investran systems
  • Good understanding of the product(s) administered by the group and thorough understanding of risk management and control practices.
  • Ability to learn and adapt in understanding of new products
  • Ability to quickly address issues - strong decision making
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft packages particularly Excel
