Job Description

Equifind are pleased to have partnered with an exciting venture capital firm in London, who are looking for some interim fund accounting support to assist them for the next six months.A very exciting company that is a market leader in the VC space. It prides itself on investing in talented firms of all sizes and has numerous recognisable firms in the portfolio.If you’d like to join a brilliant company and support the fund and wider finance team, then please reach out to us.Key duties and responsibilities for this fund accountant position include:

  • Review the third-party administrators work
  • Preparation of the fund reporting for the business
  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual investor reports
  • Support the investor reporting team with required information
  • Help coordinate portfolio and cash flow management which includes distributions, drawdowns, and management fees
  • Assist with updating the fund models in respect of IRR, DCF and equity multiples
  • Help analyse the fund performance of the business against trends and key metrics
  • Work closely with the third-party fund administrators to ensure an effective working relationship
  • Assist with the audit and be a focal point in the relationship
  • Assist the wider finance team with reporting
  • Providing ad-hoc projects as and when needed by the CFO
Experience & Qualifications
  • Fully Qualified Accountant 2-8 PQE (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Experience of fund accounting and valuations
  • Working knowledge of multiple GAAPs is beneficial
  • Strong excel and communication skills
  • Experience of process improvement and documentation
  • Ability to work on own accord and deliver reports in a timely manner
About the businessAn international venture capital firm that focuses on multi-stage investments. The business has grown substantial through the years and is looking to continue this trend over the next few years.With an international footprint across multiple countries, you will be joining a diverse organisation that invests globally.With a finance team of around ten, you will integrate with both the financial reporting and fund accounting teams daily, enabling you to hit the ground running and become a valued member of the team.This is a hybrid opportunity, so you will be required to visit the fantastic central offices in London three days per week, to enable an effective level of collaboration with the finance team and get you up to speed quickly.You will work closely with the financial controller and CFO daily to ensure that the fund reporting is of the highest standard.Daily RateThis exciting opportunity for a fund accountant will pay between £350-£450 per day depending on experience and background. We will also look at candidates who prefer a FTC, ranging £75k-£90k.We are looking for someone to join the team straightaway and have earmarked a minimum of four to six months in assignment length.Interviews immediately.
