We are recruiting for an experienced, live-in housekeeper. We are a professional couple with two young children (twins aged 6) and three university-aged children. The main duties will include managing and organising the household, preparing meals for the family, working with the part-time cleaner on all of the cleaning, laundry and ironing and engaging with the various contractors for the house. Must have experience of working in a high spec home with knowledge of fine clothing and modern finishes. Must love children; there is a part-time nanny but help is expected with the children during breakfast and the occasional morning school runs will be required. Must enjoy planning and preparing healthy, nutritious meals for the family. This is a busy family home with regular guests so flexibility and initiative are both very important. The hours are Monday to Friday, 10 hours per day (50 hours/week) The ideal candidate will have the following: English fluency (B2 level or higher) Driving license with a clean record Experience managing a large household Skilled at cooking and menu planning Very organized Able to anticipate and plan autonomously Comfort working with contractors A collaborative approach to working with both the family and other household help. 2 checkable references Willingness to undergo DBS check Fully vaccinated against COVID An understanding of Spanish language would be a huge benefit to you, but it is not essential. This is a live-in position. The familyprovide a stylish, one bedroom flat for solo occupancy with a shared entrance, equipped with air conditioning, cable and wifi.
