Excitingly, we were an integral part of the successful delivery of Aldermore Groups new planning tool, Anaplan, which we use to provide a diverse array of reporting and projects, including investor relations activity.A high-profile, challenging role, our team thrives in a changing environment and consistently seeks to deliver insightful analysis and support to senior management.The role of FP&A Manager is really important to us. You will lead on all aspects of the formal corporate planning cycle, engaging senior stakeholders and finance business partners, and challenging where appropriate. You will be responsible for Group level reporting and analysis of budgets and forecasts to the Executive Committee, Board and parent company, FirstRand, including the development of high quality, insightful analysis, highlighting areas of focus and undertaking scenario analysis.When the time is right, we would love to welcome you to our London office. In the meantime you will be based remotely. Youll be made to feel part of your new team by your Line Manager, Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, and colleagues through regular contact and virtual interaction.What would your day look likeStakeholder Management

  • Professional communication and challenge of various stakeholders across the Aldermore Group including Executive management as well as peers and FirstRand contacts to ensure a robust and accurate budget/forecast is communicated to senior management
  • Supporting senior management with adhoc analysis to drive critical decision making and deputising for Head of FP&A as and when required
    • Budgeting/Forecasting
  • Take ownership of the Group budgeting and forecasting processes, including overall ownership of the budget/forecast process in Anaplan, coordinating with Business Unit leaders as well as Heads of Group Functions and FirstRand
  • Design and management of annual budgeting process including challenge to the businesses of data submitted and ensuring alignment with the Groups strategy
    • Reporting
  • Accountable for production of budget and forecast presentation packs ensuring that data and information provided for various governance boards is insightful and relevant.
  • Providing insight into the future financial position through regular and accurate forecasting and scenario modelling, and monitoring of Scorecards
    • What do we expect of you
  • Ideally a Qualified (but QBE will be considered) Accountant with either FP&A or Finance Business Partnering experience gained in financial services organisations
  • Experience of leading budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Highly numerate and familiar with key banking financials and drivers of performance
  • Knowledge and experience of reporting to senior management
  • Ability to easily determine the key drivers of a result and associated KPIs and articulately explain the "story"
  • Strong data management skills with the ability to manipulate and assess complex data and ideally some previous exposure to Anaplan or a similar planning tool
