Job Description

Fixed Income ION Support EngineerWe are currently recruiting for an experienced support engineer to join the Fixed Income electronic trading support group at an international investment bank.The team is responsible for supporting the ION platform globally for the Fixed Income products, which include rates, credit and emerging markets. Project work features heavily within this role.

  • 1st priority is around BAU production support issues/user enquiries. Align processes and procedures with the global support teams. To ensure current service agreements are met and requirements are successfully implemented. Also, to establish a high levelof quality for the production systems supporting the FI businesses.
  • Second focus is around the necessary project work required by external and internal stakeholders. Mandated ECN / Exchange changes, new business requirements and up / down stream dependencies. Areas include but not limited to: In-house pricing applicationfor Bonds and Swaps, algorithmic trading components, STP, monitoring, alerting, connectivity and server build.
ResponsibilitiesThe role is to provide 2nd line technical support to the Fixed Income Rates & Credit support desks and downstream businesses. The candidate should have excellent communication skills and be service quality focused.The role will require the management of all aspects of London and global systems for Fixed Income, working closely with all the support and development teams across the regions to continue to build a market leading trading platform for FI businessSkills: ION -Marketview, Windows/UNIX, Networks, SQL, ECN connectivity, Tibco RV, Bladelogic, ITRS / Geneos.
