Job Description

Reed are pleased to be partneredwith a leading credit insurance firmwho are currentlylooking for a Regulatory & Financial Accountant on a permanent bases. This is an all-encompassing finance role and a diverse accounting skillset is required. You will have excellent experience with financial accounting, regulatory reporting, project experience, solvency II, capital calculations and SAP.Given the nature of this role, our client is seeking candidates from an insurance backgroundA limited list of duties includes;Regulatory Reporting

  • Be the business owner of the software implemented for Regulatory calculations fully understanding all aspects of the process.
  • Obtain accurate quantitative inputs for the software. Summarise results and be able to have informed discussions with the Regulator / provide clear communication and guidance to local management.
  • Prepare qualitative reports (ORSA...) for submission to the Regulator liaising with EH SA / Group teams to ensure consistency.
  • Contribute suggestions and guidance to maximise the combined efficiency of the UK branch / EH SA capital position
    • Financial Accounting and Risk Controlling
  • Contribute to the local EH UK financial function (monthly close, statutory account preparation, communication with non-finance areas of the business).
  • Risk controlling function: capture & report operational risk events; report technical data (claims / premiums) for provision in to local / group reporting processes
