Job Description

Robert Half are currently working with a Financial Services firm based in the City of London, helping them source a Financial Planning and Analysis Accountant for a 6 month contract with the chance to convert into a permanent role.£350 - £375 a day.RoleAs Financial Planning and Analysis Accountant, you will help to bridge the gap between the financials and the business. Youll need to build a picture around the revenues and forcasts, for various departments, and use this to help build a new budget for the business. Youll also be working with the compensation planning and budgeting process.Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing insight on the revenues of the investment banking arm of the business and present to the board
  • Budgeting for compensation and analysing potential scenarios
  • Building and updating the European Group budget/forecast
  • Investigating and analysing variances from plan, and identifying any discrepancies
  • Create reports based on analysis of sales data to support strategic decisions of senior stakeholders
  • Involvement in development of forecast analytics using Workday and Adaptive Insights
  • Driving to streamline the budgeting and reporting process of the function
  • Other ad hoc analysis on demand
