Job Description

As a Barclays Financial Crime Control Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement of the Financial Crime environment for BUK Customer, through delivery of optimal controls, change projects and work-stream management,driving performance oversight of suppliers in order to protect both Barclays and our customers from the social and economic impact of financial crime. What will you be doing You will be responsible for heading changes to central Financial Crime Standards, Policies and BUK FC TOM to ensure they are fit for purpose for BUK Customer Business Carrying out Gap Analysis / Impact Assessment for BUK Customer Business of proposed changes to the above Reviewing and / or creating policy documents and update as appropriate Managing the FC suite of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and MI consolidation. Ensuring data is fit for purpose and reporting deadlines are adhered to Heading the annual Fin Crime Risk Assessment (and FC related elements of RCSA), for BUK Customer including gap analysis and risk reporting Managing and supporting FC Control Mapping and assessment across BUK Customer Managing change delivery for gaps identified in the accountabilities listed above, through ownership of end to end delivery of change Managing activity within the internal governance framework of BUK Customer, including management of budgets, tracking spend and cost centre management What were looking for: Proven track record in developing and managing control frameworks to deliver the right outcomes - demonstrate accountability in the application of risk based decisions Experience of influencing stakeholders at a senior level, in a complex/matrix managed organisation Professional capability to drive/deliver continuous improvement and innovation. Diplomacy and influencing skills to aid negotiation and practical approaches with senior stakeholders Skills that will help you in the role: Solid numeracy skills with ability to interpret data, MI and business challenges and make recommendations Experience of the ERMF and underlying control frameworks which help keep our business safe experience of risk and control mapping Understanding / experience of the Financial Services industry and the Systems and Controls (SYSC) regulations Where will you be workingYou can be home based, or work in one our office across the UK. Our key office locations are London, Northampton, Glasgow, Knutsford, Manchester, Northwich (Gadbrook) and Dublin. Hybrid WorkingWe are currently operating in a hybrid working environment, meaning that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in.
