Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Across the EMEA affiliates, lead the production of monthly, quarterly and annual reports for senior management to identify results, trends and financial forecasts, including projected financial statements, risk management reporting and monthly P&L commentary.
  • Lead the production by Finance of management information and board reports, with presentation to the appropriate Board, Committee and/or other stakeholders across the EMEA affiliates.
  • Across the EMEA affiliates, lead all accounting operations including client billing, expense payments and invoices ensuring all financial transactions, including general ledger, including monthly sales transactions, payroll activity, expense accruals, intercompanytransactions, depreciation and payments, are properly recorded, filed and reported.
  • Oversee through review and approval of transactions including payments, banking and indirect taxes ensuring timely positing of invoices, bank transactions and the issuance of payments across the EMEA international affiliates.
  • Timely preparation of business plans and annual budgets for the EMEA international affiliates, which are to be presented to the Boards and Committees of the appropriate entities and Group Finance in the US for approval.
  • Responsible for the calculation of taxes, including VAT, Corporation tax, PSA and transfer pricing related adjustments as per intercompany service level agreements for all EMEA affiliates.
  • Responsible to the Chief Financial Officer (ex-Americas) to report upon the service level KPIs, as agreed for Finance for each of the EMEA affiliate entities.
  • Lead relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, banking institutions, contractors and other finance related service providers for all EMEA affiliates.
  • Work closely with Group Finance in the US, including the Group Financial Controller, including the oversight of the timely reporting of financial information and co-ordination of changes in respect to policies, processes and systems.
  • Oversee the production of the statutory financial statements and tax returns for submission to the appropriate regulator(s) and/or authority (quarterly and annually, as appropriate), for all the EMEA affiliates.
  • Ensure all entities within the EMEA affiliates are in compliance with the internal accounting policies and procedures and comply with accounting related statutory laws and regulations.
  • Lead the development, continuous review, improvement and maintenance of the company financials systems and controls, including for ensuring regulatory compliance in respect of liquidity and solvency requirements, staff training and competence across allthe EMEA affiliates.
  • Provide management and training, including continuous professional development to all the EMEA Finance staff located in London.
  • Lead the treasury and cash management of the EMEA affiliate entities, including oversight of the regulatory capital positions and cash flow requirements of the EMEA affiliates, as appropriate.
  • Support the Chief Financial Officer (ex-Americas) by managing special and ad-hoc projects and process improvements as required.
Skills and Experience
  • Experience of working within a medium-size privately-held company an advantage
  • Ability to provide direction and leadership to manage staff members
  • Experience of working with an international parent company and subsidiary boards
  • Thorough understanding of business principles and practice
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Extensive, generalist finance experience, ideally gained within the Financial Services Industry
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience of Sage 300 an advantage
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
Education and Qualifications
  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant
Travel
  • The role may involve some international travel during the year.
