Job Description

Financial ControllerCompetitive salaryFull timeLondon EC4YWe are currently looking for a Financial Controller to join our wonderful finance team.As the Financial Controller you will have significant exposure to our Directors, Investors and the wider team - ensuring the integrity and quality of all financial information, improving standards, managing the balance sheet, cash flow and bank reporting as well as managing an outsourced finance team who look after all transactional finance.Since opening our doors in 2008, the Drake & Morgan collection now has 22 beautiful bars and restaurants in London, Manchester and Edinburgh.We wanted to create a unique space where locals and visitors alike could enjoy thoughtful, inspired menus and innovative, crafted cocktails in the most welcoming environment.   • Ensure robust financial controls and processes throughout the business
  • Work with the outsourced finance team to ensure the integrity of all financial data
  • Ownership of balance sheets, cashflow, consolidations and financial reporting
  • Production of monthly management accounts and Board Packs
  • Drive continual improvement in the month-end and year-end reporting
  • Lead the audit process and look after all the tax affairs
  • Establish high quality cashflow forecasting, reporting and management
  • Ownership of the banking documents, covenant reporting and forecasting
  • Company secretarial responsibility, ranging from maintaining the Group structure and Company books to managing the Groups insurance
  • Working closely with the CFO on projects as required
    • The ideal candidate will have
  • ACA Qualified with at least 3 years post qualified experience.
  • Proven technical accounting competence, experience of consolidations and experience of running an audit
  • Significant experience in hospitality
  • A track record of leading teams and driving process improvements
  • Experience of dealing with banks and covenant reporting / monitoring
