Financial Controller / FP&A Analyst - PART TIMELocation: Remote - Hybrid / LondonSalary: £60K-75K (PRO RATA)Hours: Approx 20-25 hours per weekSummaryOur client is an advertising technology company going through an exciting period of rapid growth from a start-up’ to scale-up’, looking for an experienced finance professional with strong financial planning and analysis skills to manage their monthly reportingcycle and support the company’s decision-making through its current expansion.Requirements

• Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
• Strong demonstrable experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and proficiency with excel and google sheets and/or FP&A software
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
• A self-starter, capable of taking the initiative, and understanding quickly
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships, including the internal and external client teams, and preferred partners

Desirable but not essential:

• Experience in tech/SaaS and/or at a high-growth startup/scale-up and/or with a company with an increasingly international footprint
• Experience in the media sector eg adtech, martech, media owner, agency, brand owner
• Experience with our existing finance operations tech stack (Xero, Float, Payfit, Pleo, Telleroo, Hubspot)

Key responsibilities

• Overseeing the day-to-day finance operations work of our Finance Manager, part-time Finance Assistant and outsourced accountants/bookkeepers to ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting and a smooth and efficient month-endreporting process (including oversight, when required, of bank reconciliations, payment runs, payroll, pensions, balance sheet accounts and reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations and cash collection/credit control).
• Leading the production of our monthly global management accounts including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries. To include considering how best to evolve and improve our reporting and KPI choices to best supportour analysis of company performance against objectives and to support business decision making.
• Leading the financial planning process and owning the company’s financial modelling, building financial models and cash and P&L projections/scenarios for the Board and investor, driving continuous improvement in forecasting and budget modelling.
• Managing our revenue recognition policy and process, reconciliation of revenues and cash with our key partners and control of accounting for prepayments and accruals.
• Managing media agency value discounts and all commission/payments working with the senior sales directors.
• Fulfilling our reporting obligations to investors and lenders.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Ad hoc requirements as needed in Finance including support as required with managing the set up of infrastructure and legals within new areas of geographic expansion.
• Working with our third-party advisors on the company’s annual R&D claim and year-end accounts.
