Job Description

Financial Accountant - SaaS – Series B StartupHybrid working£55,000 + Equity + BenefitsTalentedge are currently exclusively representing a dynamic Series B SaaS startup based in London, at the forefront of revolutionising the industry. This role offers a unique opportunity for a newly qualified accountant or an individual looking to make theirsecond move in the industry to contribute to the growth and success of a rapidly expanding organisation.As a FinancialAccountant you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity offinancial data and supporting strategic decision-making through accurate reporting. This position is predominantly focused on technical accounting and reporting, with exposureto ad-hoc projects and business partnering.Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Accounting and Reporting:
    • Prepare monthly financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
    • Oversee the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
    • Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements and liaise with external auditors.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects:
    • Collaborate on special projects and initiatives, providing financial insights to support decision-making.
    • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of financial operations.
  • Business Partnering:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business operations and provide financial support.
    • Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor departmental budgets.
    Qualifications:
    • Newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or equivalent.
    • Previous experience within audit orin a similar role, preferably a technology-focused environment.
    • Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of relevant accounting standards.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
    • Proactive mindset with a keen interest in business improvement projects.
