Our Central London client is a very well established, admired and asset rich organisation (c £100m t/o) offering a secure future with excellent prospects. They are looking for a Financial Accountant / Assistant Financial Controller and believe that someone who is already carrying out a similar role, or someone with a strong Audit background from an Accountancy Practice who is looking to move into industry could both have the required experience for this opportunity.Working as part of an enthusiastic and hard working team which is headed up by a charismatic Finance Director, you will be carrying out a wide range of duties to ensure that Financial procedures and policies are followed and improved. Initially you will be responsible for managing two other members of the team but this staff responsibility could increase if it is your forte. You would also be asked to deputise occasionally for the Financial Controller and oversee the wider team including the Purchase and Sales Ledger functions.Day to day you will be carrying out a wide range of responsibilities covering Balance Sheet reconciliations, monthly Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reports, subsidiary Statutory Accounts, annual consolidated Statutory Accounts, reporting of Investments, Intercompany balances, VAT and Corporation Tax returns and ensuring that all information and transactions are recorded accurately on the accounting system.In uncertain times, this is an excellent opportunity to still make that move and progress your career with a highly reputable and financially secure organisation.
